Satisfying the necessary precursors of all things to come, July and August played huge roles in defining how this story eventually unfolds.
Pulling from a late July post, I spoke of blood as saline rivers and how their potential liberation from intent have the power to forge new pools teeming with life forms previously unimagined. This statement followed "nothing worth having is attained without a bit of spilt blood" by nearly a full month. The continuity was not by chance and the theme recurred throughout the months to come...these saline rivers want for liberation, but don't easily run dry, you see.
These words were, of course, carefully chosen significant statements eluding to a larger scope of events, not mere fodder for a recently acquired metaphorical obsession. The clues have been accumulating since and was submitted a couple of weeks before Case Study #3 was provided as a mind tease murder mystery. I hope you've enjoyed playing along and hope even more that you've connected at least some of the dots.
If you recall one of the important facts regarding Case Study #3, "a large group of coworkers depart for a holiday lunch outing, depleting an entire department for an extended period of time, save for two" as described on day 222. This coming Friday, one such outing will occur, and Coworker Mitch has already declined the opportunity to join the holiday celebration, citing too much really important work to accomplish.
I now must find a good reason to abstain from the obligatory, politically correct occasion as well.
Time travel has provided a glimpse of future terms, as Case Study #3 has yet to actually occur. It has been a long time in the making but has finally arrived at our doorstep. Like the wolves and their empty bellies, the door now must be opened to face the world we created. Like fire breathing dragons fogging up the cool glass, we must break the barriers that protect us from the monsters created in our own likeness and accept inevitability.
It is time to unveil these plans that have been developing for a good long time. It is time to reveal the ultimate escape plan. It is time to play a high stakes version of hide and seek.
To everything there is a season, and it is now the season for destruction begetting creation.
It is now time to shatter the mirror.
Today's Jazz Hands placed a few puzzle pieces together, leaving but a few to complete the picture.
Day three-hundred and fifty-eight complete.
